The vineyards of Rheinhessen roll across sun-drenched hills and fertile valleys, where loess and limestone soils nurture a diverse range of grape varieties, especially the region’s celebrated Riesling.
With a temperate climate and a lengthy growing season, our Riesling grapes ripen slowly, ensuring balanced acidity and optimal flavor. After hand-harvesting, our grapes are gently pressed and fermented to preserve their delicate fruitiness.

Harvest in Rheinhessen begins in late September and can extend into October, depending on the vintage and desired ripeness levels. Warm days and cool nights during the late growing season help preserve acidity while allowing grapes to develop concentrated flavors. Harvesting is often done by hand on steeper slopes to ensure careful selection of the best fruit. Yields are moderate, with a focus on maintaining quality and expression of the region’s diverse soils, particularly loess and limestone.
